more about Giclée
Giclée (pronounced zhee-clay) is
a French term that means, "spray of ink". In the giclée
process, a fine stream of ink is sprayed onto archival watercolor paper or
canvas. This method provides higher resolution and more reproducible
colors than other printmaking techniques. The result is fine art
reproduction with incredible detail that looks and feels like original
art. And because giclées are produced using archival quality inks and
substrates, they should be cared for as original art.
Giclée prints have been exhibited
in the finest galleries. Museums through out the world, including New York’s
Metropolitan Museum, the Louvre, and the Guggenheim, display giclées as
part of their collections.
